Laser Facial RejuvenationFullerton, CA
With age, many people experience a decrease in collagen and other components of the skin that will lead to sagging cheeks and wrinkles. This is a natural aging process that occurs regardless of the person. Other times, people struggle with scars from trauma or other skin irregularities that they cannot seem to get rid of. With that in mind, many people invest in various beauty products that fail to enhance their appearance at all. Other people try natural home remedies that are just as ineffective.
Due to these ineffective products, people assume the only option left is various forms of surgery. However, we can offer patients laser facial rejuvenation that does not require any surgical or physical incisions to the skin.
Change Your Face the Way You Want
With laser facial rejuvenation, we can help patients enhance the appearance of the skin on their face, the way they want. A few of the face irregularities this technology can treat includes:
- Reducing/removing wrinkles
- Reducing blemishes
- Reducing acne scars
- Reducing or minimizing scars from trauma
- Treating age spots
- Treating sun damage
We can use the laser to target a specific part of the face and harmlessly removes the skin layer by layer. The procedure is precise and will be able to only treat the desired area. If patients struggle with fine lines or wrinkles, then we can help to smooth out the face with this treatment.
The process for laser facial rejuvenation is fairly simple. To begin the process, the patient will need to reach out to us and schedule an appointment. During the initial appointment, we will examine the patient and the patient’s desires. We will gather information on the patient’s current health condition, medical history, specific desires for appearance and any other information we need.
Once we gather the necessary information and conduct an examination, we will determine the most effective treatment for the patient’s needs. Since each patient is unique, we will customize the treatment to the individual patient. With some patients, we may need to schedule multiple appointments for the complete treatment. In other cases, we will only need one appointment.
This procedure will use an intense beam of light energy at a precise point on your skin. The laser will heat the layer of skin under the surface layer and cause collagen to shrink. The laser creates a small wound in the skin that will begin to heal and form the new skin that is tighter than before. This procedure can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the size of the area we are treating. The patient will need to keep an eye out for risks or other signs following the treatment.
What You Need to Know
It is important to note that this treatment treats the surface level of the skin to avoid extensive damage. There are some risks and side effects of this treatment that can occur, including:
- Sudden increase in acne on face
- Change in the shade of skin
While some of these side effects are rarer than others, it is important to keep an eye out for any of these symptoms. During a consultation, we will gather as much medical information about the patient as possible. By gathering information, we can ensure that this treatment will work for the patient. Following the treatment, the patient may experience minor levels of redness, swelling and itching for a certain amount of time after the procedure. If any of these symptoms are extreme, then it is important to call us right away.
In other cases, people who treat acne with any type of cream must not apply it directly after the treatment. Bandages or acne cream will only cause the area treated by the laser to break out in tiny white bumps.
Prepare Ahead of Time
While most procedures will not require the patient to be under sedation, there is a chance we will need to sedate the patient. If so, then the patient will want to schedule a ride home from a friend, family member or ride service since the patient will not be able to drive while the sedation wears off. The length of time for the procedure can also vary per patient. While it will not take as long as some people believe, it may not be a quick 20-minute visit.
If you are interested in this treatment or learning how laser facial rejuvenation can help you achieve a more fresh and young appearance, then schedule an appointment with us today.
