Your face hosts a number of small, vital muscles that are responsible for your facial expressions. As you get older and the cumulative effects of every facial expression begin to add up, age lines begin to surface on the skin in those small, delicate spaces. Forehead furrows, wrinkles in the corner of the mouth, and even crow’s feet –all add up to a more aged appearance.

Anti-aging with Botox at Brea Wellness Center

Not only does the constant stretching and relaxing and relating of the muscles cause wrinkles to appear, but with age and oxidants, the body produces less and less collagen. Thus wrinkles become more noticeable and deeper.

Thankfully, there’s a way to treat and even help prevent these signs of aging –through the use of Botox at Brea Wellness Center.

What is Botox?

Botox is an incredibly versatile treatment that can treat everything from skin wrinkles to migraines to even sweat! Botox is a highly purified form of the neurotoxin Botulinum, and for decades, has been used to safely remove fine lines and wrinkles from the face. Using a precise injection, Botox targets and relaxes the tense muscles responsible for the lines. As the muscles relax, so does the skin over the top, thereby smoothing out the wrinkles.

Fearing that Botox will leave you expressionless? Not to worry!  At Brea Wellness Center,  we take pride in our superior ability to administer the treatment safely and effectively, providing stunning, natural-looking results, wrinkle-free results.

The treatment itself is quick and relatively painless, with the only discomfort occurring with the slight prick of the needle. While generally safe for most age groups, women who are pregnant or are breastfeeding should not use Botox. Because there’s no downtime for recovery, patients can return to their normal life immediately after receiving the treatment. The effects typically last up to six months, and can sometimes even prevent the future development of additional face lines.
